1. Information We Collect
The App collects only the minimum information needed to function:
- Location (city and country): You manually enter your city and country so we can calculate accurate prayer times. We do not access your device's GPS or precise location without your permission.
- Name and Email (optional): Optionally collected during onboarding for personalization. This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Age and Gender (optional): Collected during onboarding to personalize your experience. Stored locally on your device only.
- Prayer Records: Your prayer tracking history and streak data are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data.
- Subscription Status: Managed entirely by Apple. We do not store payment or billing information.
- App Settings: Your preferences (dark mode, notification timing, blocking schedule, etc.) are stored locally on your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To display accurate prayer times for your city/country using the Aladhan API.
- To personalize your onboarding experience (name, age, gender — local only).
- To track your prayer history and streaks (local only).
- To schedule app blocking and local notifications at prayer times.
- To manage your subscription through Apple's App Store.
3. Information Shared with Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
The only external service the App communicates with is:
- Aladhan API (aladhan.com): Your city name and country are sent to this Islamic prayer time service to fetch accurate prayer schedules. No personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.) is transmitted. Please review Aladhan's Privacy Policy for more information.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Subscription purchases and restore functionality are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only confirmation of subscription status, not payment details.
- Apple Screen Time / Family Controls API: Used to block selected apps at prayer times. This functionality is managed by Apple's operating system framework and no data is sent to us.
4. Data Storage and Security
All personal data (name, email, age, gender, prayer history, settings) is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's UserDefaults and Keychain. We have no servers that store your personal information.
Subscription validity information is stored securely in your device's Keychain, which is protected by iOS security mechanisms.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 4 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. All data is stored locally on the device and no personal information is transmitted to external servers (except city/country for prayer times).
6. Your Rights and Data Control
- Delete your data: You can reset all app data from Settings → Reset All, or by deleting and reinstalling the App.
- Location: You can change or remove your city/country in Settings at any time.
- Notifications: You can disable prayer notifications in the App or in iOS Settings.
- App Blocking: You can remove Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings → Screen Time at any time.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
